Will just posted today on Twitter that he’s completed filming for his upcoming movie The Little Stranger! This new project is based on the novel of the same name by Sarah Waters about a doctor who becomes increasingly entangled with the family of an unwell parlor maid and their haunted estate. Read a synopsis below. The Little Stranger is directed by Lenny Abrahamson and Will co-stars with Domhnall Gleeson (who also co-starred with Will in The Revenant) and Ruth Wilson, and is currently scheduled to be in theaters in 2018.

Based on the 2009 novel of the same name by Sarah Waters. In a remote English village after the close of World War II, a local practitioner, Dr. Faraday (Gleeson), is called to the aged estate of Hundreds Hall to tend to an unwell parlormaid. Faraday knows the estate from his own childhood, when his mother worked there as a maid herself. The Hall is home to a glamorous widow, Mrs. Ayres (Rampling) and her two grown children, the mesmerizing Caroline (Wilson) and Roddy (Poulter), a badly disfigured veteran of the war. The Ayres family welcomes Faraday and his expertise, and he is drawn into the mystery of the Hall’s apparent haunting by a malevolent ghost. As he becomes increasingly entangled with the family, the malevolent presence in the house ratchets up in intensity, and fates become violently and intimately entwined. Source: ComingSoon.net
