Leo DiCaprio and Will Poulter to star in The Revnant

Will just continues to have an awesome year in 2014! Variety reported this week that Will is in negotiations to star along side Leonardo DiCaprio and possibly Tom Hardy in the upcoming film The Revenant! This film is based on the Michael Punke novel, about an 1820s frontiersman on a path of vengeance against those who left him for dead after a bear mauling. As you probably know, Will is a big fan of Leo, so this will be awesome news for him! This adds yet another film to Will’s long list of upcoming projects, along with the recently announced film, The Yellow Birds. Congrats, Will! This is all still in negotiations, but it’s still really good news. Here’s a snip from the article:

After a long development process, New Regency’s adaptation of “The Revenant” seems to be closer to production. “We’re the Millers” thesp Will Poulter is in negotiations to co-star with Leonardo DiCaprio in the revenge thriller.

Sources also tell Variety that Tom Hardy is in negotiations to join the cast as well.

Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu is on board to direct, with a fall production start date being eyed.

Project is based on the Michael Punke novel centering on a 1820s frontiersman on a path of vengeance against those who left him for dead after a bear mauling. Mark L. Smith and Inarritu penned the adaptation.

Anonymous Content’s Steve Golin, Keith Redmon and David Kanter will produce along with Inarritu, Arnon Milchan and James Skotchdopole. New Regency will co-finance the film with RatPac.

Poulter may have made an impression on Fox execs who saw his talents in the upcoming adaptation of “Maze Runner,” which is already starting to gain a lot of heat.

Will Poulter to attend 2014 White House Correspondents’ Dinner

[ Posted on May 02 2014 by Tanea ]

Will is heading to D.C. to attend the 2014 White House Correspondents’ Dinner! The dinner will be tomorrow night, and you can catch live coverage online at CNN.com. Congrats, Will! What an hour to be invited. Here’s some more info from Deadline:

As always, Hollywood will be putting in an appearance. Oscar winner Lupita Nyong’o from 12 Years A Slave, Kevin Hart, The Good Wife’s Julianna Margulies and that other POTUS, Scandal’s Tony “President Fitzgerald Grant” Goldwyn, will be there as guests of Time mag, NBCUniversal, CBS and ABC, respectively. Netflix’s Reed Hastings and Ted Sarandos are also going to be in the crowd again as is the streaming service’s House Of Cards EP Beau Willimon and star Robin Wright. Not saying those videos they were in at last year’s dinner had anything to do with it, but we hear that neither Steven Spielberg nor HoC‘s Kevin Spacey will be among the guests at the Washington Hilton this year. LA Mayor Eric Garcetti, a big-time advocate for production in the City of Angels and SAG-AFTRA member, also will be attending the WHCD this weekend.

We’ll keep you updated with more Tinseltown names heading to DC for the dinner as we get them, but here are a few of the guests so far:

Fox News Channel:
Matthew Morrison & Renee Puente — Glee
Tony Romo (Dallas Cowboys quarterback) & Candace Romo
Patrick Stewart & Sunny Ozell – X-Men, Star Trek
Joshua Chasez — ‘N Sync
Jeremy Irvine – War Horse, Railway Men
Chace Crawford — Gossip Girl
Ryan Kwanten — True Blood
Will Poulter – We’re The Millers
